The journey of Alhani began in London during the 1980s. As the first book publishers in the region to cater towards Middle East affairs, we sought to advance understanding between the UK and the Arab world with particular emphasis on the Palestinian Nakba.

Printing books in both Arabic and English languages, Alhani has published many distinguished authors including: Douglas Hurd (UK Foreign Secretary at the time) and Eduard Schefersnade (the last Soviet Union Foriegn Minister, and eventual President of Georgia).
Among Arab authors, Alhani has published Mustafa Ben Halim (former Prime Minister of Libya), and Issa Sabbagh (White House official translator).
Our range of published books have highlighed the achievements of great personalities in science and culture including Edward Said, Ahmed Dahbour and Said Khoury.

Following the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority in 1994 as per the Oslo accords, Alhani became actively engaged in providing free children's books to preparatory schools in Gaza, and helping to establish libraries in schools and municipalities.
